Everytime i try to solve it im wrong, Is it not 2 protons, 1 neutron and 1 electron?

You say you have ONE proton in the nucleus.
If the atom were NEUTRAL you would have ONE electron (Deuterium)
However charge is +1
So it lost that one electron.
There are NONE.
