How many atoms are in a ring made of pure gold, Au (element 79), if there are 0.092 moles of gold in it?
i need help on what formula to use

Multiply the number of mols by Avagadro's number about 6.02 * 10^23
would it be 0.092 * 1/6.02 * 10^23?
Note that
0.092 mols x 6.02E23 atoms/mol = atoms which is the question. The mole unit cancels.
If you do 0.092 mols x (1 mole/6.02E23 atoms) = ? you get for units something like mols^2/atoms. You wanted atoms, not mols^2/atoms, right?
So which do you want to do?
