How long is day and how long is night?

We usually think, in the United States, of a day being 12 hours and night being 12 hours; however, as you well know, the actual hours of daylight and night time change daily. Also, day time and night time change with the location on the earth.

there are actually 23 hours and 56 minutes, to be percies. so there are 12 hours of day light and 11 hours of night time. less time to sleep!
