It varies, and what you mean by "very sad". If this someone is you, I suggest you seek out professional assistance. You can start with a school counselor, or even a trusted wise adult you know, and they will hook you up with an appropriate professional. My long term wife died 10 years ago, and I still suffer loss of her in my life. I find things to keep me busy, and productive, and helping others helps me cope with the loss.
