How is time peroid the reciprocal of frequency? Plz explain

If you have ten events per second then you have one event every 1 event every tenth of a second.
Period is the time for 1 cycle.
Example: Freq. = 10 Hz = 10 cycles/s.
Period = 1/F = 1/10cycles/s = 0.1 s/cycle. So the period is the time for 1 cycles.
Example: Freq. = 10 Hz = 10 cycles/s.
Period = 1/F = 1/10cycles/s = 0.1 s/cycle. So the period is the time for 1 cycles.
