How is the devil described in Revelation 12:10? How does the devil's accusations compare to God's conviction of sin?

I'm more stuck on the second question

Look at the passage. It says "The accuser". Think about bible history. How does God convict sin? How does the devil accuse sin? Throughout the bible the devil is accusing many people of sin that he puts in their hearts. Think about it and look at the passage:)
Well, I knew he was the accuser, but I'm confused about how the accusations of the devil and God's convictions of sin can compare. God knows the wrong you've done, but the devil just accuses you of doing something when you might not have done it
