just change y to f(x)
y=2x
f(x)=2x
Here's a sample problem:
5x+6y=-12
How would you write this in function form?
first put it in slope intercept form
5x+6y=-12
6y=-5x-12
y=(-5/6)x-2
so:
f(x)=(-5/6)x-2
