how do you make a coordinate plane for the function of a person who weighs 130 pounds that burns 300 calories in 1 hour,600 calories in 2 hours,900 calories in 3 hours and 1200 calories in 4 hours

1 answer

I would make time (t) my horizontal axis marking it up to 5 hours.
Make your vertical axis the calorie axis , marking it as 100 , 200, ... up to 1000 calories.

plot the ordered pairs
(1,300) , (2, 600) , (3, 900) and (4,1200)

you should get a straight line
Notice (0,0) should be on the line, since when you started , zero calories were burned.
