How do you fine the derivative of (x-3)^-3

1 answer

You can use the power rule for this

bring the -3 to the front then place (x-3) and the power becomes -3-1 so -4

so the answer would be

y' = -3(x-3)^-4 but if you must not have negative powers in your answer then bring it down and it becomes

y' = -3
----
(x-3)^4
