How do the scale and intensity of contemporary impacts compare with the impacts of early agriculture and urbanization?
Im not even sure what this question is asking, I have read through my text and i dont understand what this question means, however I am required to use atleast 3 resources to write this answer in an essay with at least two being scholarly publications (e.g., journal articles, books).
If possible can someone help me to understand what this question means and whats required, and send me any links/ resources I can reference when writing the essay?

Contemporary WHAT? Did you leave a word out?
I think it is asking what is the impact of land and water usage of present populations and industries as compared to the 100 year ago agrarian countryside.
