How do I solve by the substitution method? 7x +6y=13

x= 35-5y. I need help figuring this out.

Substitute 35 - 5y for x in the first equation. That will give you
245 -35y + 6y = 13
232 = 29 y
y = 8
x = 35 - 40 = -5
