Recognize that (x/y)^3 - 1 =
[(x/y) -1]*[(x/y)^2 +(x/y) +1]

You could simplify it a lot if your "+" between x^2 and y^2 were a "/" division sign. Unless that x^2 + y^2 is really x^2/y^2, there is no simplification.

Check to see if you made a typing error with the + sign.
[(x^3/y^3) -1]/[(x^2/y^2)+(x/y)+1] is right yes please help
