How do animals get their food? What body plans are associated with each of the major life strategies found in animals?

1 answer

Think about how the animals you are familiar with get their food. How does a deer get its food? A rabbit? A snake? A lizard? A spider? What about a sea anenome? You know some answers to this question already.

As for body plans, you probably know how to answer this in part too: For terrestrial animals that hunt, are there common tendencies among them in terms of body shape, shape or length of appendages? For animals that filter feed (take nutrients out of the water, like a clam), are there common basic shapes?
