How could I figure out which circle graph (out of a selection of answers) represents the data set I have been given? My data set: Dog: 10 Cat: 5 Fish: 5
I just want to check HOW to solve it. I think I have to:
1.) Turn the data into fractions
2.) Turn the fractions into decimals
3.) Multiply each decimal by 360 degrees and get the degrees for each.
4.) Measure each circle graph I have in my selection and see which one matches up with my calculations.
Is this correct? Please let me know how to correctly solve it. I just wanted to check because it doesn't cover this part in my lesson book.

I would skip part 2 of going to decimals
e.g. cat fraction = 5/20 = 1/4
so you need 1/4 of 360° or 90° for the cat part
going to decimals yields the same result:
cat fraction = 1/4
1/4 = .25
.25(360) = 90
e.g. cat fraction = 5/20 = 1/4
so you need 1/4 of 360° or 90° for the cat part
going to decimals yields the same result:
cat fraction = 1/4
1/4 = .25
.25(360) = 90
