Hacking isn't the only way other people learn about you from what you've posted online.
Do you have Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or any other form of "social media"? Be very careful what you post -- comments, photos, anything.
Just one example: If you have posted weird stuff (or even icky stuff) on Facebook, say, and a few years later you apply for a job you really want -- if your potential employer checks you out on Facebook or any of the others or via a search engine, they could decide not to hire you, even if you're the best candidate for the job.
How can information shared on the internet affect your future?
Information shared on the internet can affect your future by your computer getting hacked, data getting backed up, and fraud, which all relate in with security. By not sharing personal information you can protect your privacy.
Any other information?

Yikes that is really bad, so basically if you post anything by mistake even, people can make it seem a far worse mistake, all the little tinu stuff you post on sites can turn out to be big crimes.
Exactly.
