How can I find the square root symbol to submit problems? Every time I choose the symbol that resembles the square root the actual format changes. When I sumbmit to you it looks like some crazy symbol. It makes the problems look totally different than they should be.

If you have a PC, try

alt 251 (on the number pad)

to produce the √ sign

If you can't remember that, or don't have a number pad, put "sqrt" in front of what you want to take the square root of.
