They want you to notice that all of the items in the expression are perfect squares.
Then recall that x^2-y^2 = (x-y)(x+y)
So, if x=12b and y=11c, you have
(12b)^2 - (11c)^2 = (12b-11c)(12b+11c)
When you see something like this that looks hard, just remember that you haven't learned very many rules yet, so anything they ask you to solve will use one of those few basic rules.
