Hi, so I just finished reading "The Lottery" story for English 1 and I understood everything up until the last part where it got a bit confusing, whoever won the lottery was the one who got killed (stones thrown at them) correct? Or did Tessie cheat and somehow got caught, I think that whoever won the lottery was killed and that was the prize of the lottery but can someone confirm this for me so I can go answer multiple choice questions on the story?
