The Industrial Revolution led to changes as the U.S. became more economically independent. Which of these changes occurred during this time?
A. Cities began to grow, because individuals moved from farms looking for education.

D.Cities provided safe conditions, and a variety of opportunities

You're right and your mom is wrong. Cities were not safe, but had many criminals plus unsafe living and working conditions.

People moved from farms I think looking for jobs, not so much for Harvard.

I agree with your mom and Damon that education was not a prime motivation for moving to cities. However, I still maintain that cities were not safe.
