You would take your answers and plug them in to the equation.
4(-6^2)+4(-6)-120=0
and
4(5^2)+4(5)-120=0
then work out the problems and if you are correct 0=0
Hope this helped
Hi,
I have had to factorise the equation
x^2 + x - 30 = 0, which I think I have worked the answer out as x =-6, x =5?
I now need to explain how I can use this answer to solve the equation
4x^2 +4x -120 =0
Any advice?
