Hi,

How can you charge an electroscope negatively? Is it by using a positively charged rod? Can someone please help me?
Thank you :)

1 answer

You need a negatively charged rod. Touch it to the terminal on top, and some of the excess electrons should flow to the leaves of the scope, which will separate.

The charge of a plastic or rubber rod when rubbed with fur is negative.
