For the second one, you included the base.
That's fine, it said nothing about excluding it.
For later questions of this type, if it asks for the "lateral surface area" of a cone, you would exclude the circular base.

Find the lateral of the square pyramid (I don't have a picture so I'll describe the figure) the square base is 8m around each side of the square and the slant height is 22m, my answer is 352 cm^2. Am I correct? Plz and thx

The diameter of the circle is 8 so the radius is 4 and the slant height is 7 in. My answer is 138.16 in ^2
Ok last one. Volume of a cylinder the diameter us 34 m so it's 17m for the radius and the height is 27m. My answer is 24,501.42m^2. Wow that was a long number. Well thanks to anyone willing to check my answers :)
