Hi,

Can anyone help me with a regression problem, I am doing energy species hypothesis ...

I have calculated data and from f value of 22.39 have found the sq root of 4.73.

4.73 is significant at 1%

c = f (x) = 0x + 2.2 ( not sure what this output means)

I am trying to use the data to determine species number at given points south to north.

Using the straight line equation
y = mx + c

I cannot draw comparison all the figures are way out !

Am I right in the following

y = (4.73 x 200000) + 2.2 = 946002.2

I do not understand where I am going wrong can anyone please help...

Thank you !

Assistance needed.
All I can tell you is:

> value of 22.39 have found the sq root of 4.73.
The square root is correct.

> y = (4.73 x 200000) + 2.2 = 946002.2
is also correct.

> c = f (x) = 0x + 2.2 ( not sure what this output means)
Neither do I, output from what program?
What is c, what is f(x)?

I am sorry but I do not know where your numbers are coming from, what equations you used, and what you are trying to do.

A detailed question takes 10 more minutes to write-up, but you will get your answer sooner!

Or, hope someone else can better help you!
