MY ANSWER: During the 1800’s and early 1900’s, the British Parliament passed a series of reforms that gave more rights and freedoms to the citizens. British parliament initiated reform Act of 1832 and the Reform Act of 1867. What motivated the reform act of 1832 was the problems with the British electoral system. The unequal distribution of seats. An example is, they wanted to provide for an increase in the number of voters in elections for the House of Commons. And to extend the franchise or spreading parliamentary seats. The 1832 Reform Act proved that change was possible. The second reform was the reform act of 1867. This reform was motivated by rising economic condition and the growing power of the working classes and their trade-unions. The third reform was the reform act of 1884. It was motivated from wanting to target rural areas that had been ignore by the 1867 act.
