Help on this question I don't understand

Answer the following question about the poem “Fable for When There’s No Way Out.”

How does this line from the poem help explain the outcome of the chick’s struggle?

“Rage works if reason won’t.”

Because the chick was angry that he was imprisoned in this shell, he threw a physical tantrum that broke the shell, freeing him.

Sometimes rage gives us emotional satisfaction that reason doesn't.
