Ladies and gentlemen,
It is with a heavy heart that I stand before you today to address a crisis that is plaguing our society - the Gender Based Violence pandemic. Our sisters, our daughters, our friends are dying every second at the hands of abusers and perpetrators, and it is up to us to put an end to this senseless violence.
The statistics are staggering - one in three women will experience gender-based violence in their lifetime. This is not just a statistic, these are real women who are suffering in silence, afraid to speak out for fear of retaliation. It is our duty to stand up for them, to fight for their rights, and to protect them from harm.
But it does not stop there. Gender Based Violence is not just physical abuse - it is also emotional, psychological, and financial abuse. It is the systemic oppression and discrimination that women face on a daily basis. It is the lack of access to resources and support that keep them trapped in cycles of abuse.
We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to this crisis. We must take a stand and speak out against Gender Based Violence in all its forms. We must hold perpetrators accountable for their actions and ensure that our sisters are safe and protected.
It is time for us to come together as a community and say enough is enough. We must educate ourselves and others about the impact of Gender Based Violence, and work towards creating a society where women are respected, valued, and protected.
Our sisters are dying every second, but it is not too late to make a change. Let us stand in solidarity with them, let us be their voice, and let us end the Gender Based Violence pandemic once and for all.
Thank you.
