You made an error in subtracting 3x from both sides
3x + 4y = 1
4y = -3x + 1
divide every term by 4
y = -3/4 x + 1/4 , so the slope is -3/4
here is a nice quick way:
if your equation is of the form Ax + By + C = 0
the slope is -A/B
so for 3x + 4y - 1 = 0 , the slope = -3/4
Hello Ms.Sue. Can you check this to make sure I did it correctly. Thank you in advance for the help.
What is the slope of the line 3x + 4y = 1?
4y=3x-1
y=(=3/4)time X-1/4
Slope, m=3/4
