Hello,

I’m not sure how to do this. Draw two Lewis structures with a MF = C4H6O2. One structure has a C=O and a ring, one does not contain a ring but is carboxylic acid (contains a C=O, and that carbon also has an O-H group attached to it).

Sure! Here are the Lewis structures for C4H6O2, one with a C=O and a ring, and the other as a carboxylic acid.

1. Lewis structure with a C=O and a ring:
O C C C
‖ ‖ ‖ ‖
H H H H

C--C===C-C===C
