Hello i'm haveing trouble with this problem, when I solve it I'm geting the A=24.375, but it does not plug in correctly.
1.5 + 4/5a =21 Solve what A equals
I know the steps I just think i'm solveing it wrong.

If the a is in the numerator (4a/5), it is right, but if it is in the denominator (4/5a), it is wrong.
It is 4/5a so what am I doing wrong?
1.5+ 4/5 x a=21
Let me say this very clearly:
If the problem is
1.5+4/(5a)=21
subtract 1.5 from each side
4/(5a)=19.5
4/(5*19.5)=a
or a= 1.026
Now if it is (4/5)a then your answer is RIGHT
If the problem is
