Baloch trace their roots to tribes that migrated east from around Aleppo, in Syria before Christian era. Baloch speak Balochi, part of the Iranian group of Indo-European languages. The majority of Baloch peoples are Hanafi Sunni, of Islam faith (Jafferelot 31).
