This artist, Paul Gauguin, most obviously showed experimentation through his use of color. Gauguin is known for his bold use of color and non-naturalistic styles, which became one of his trademarks, especially during his time in Brittany, and later in his career while in Tahiti. His approach to color was innovative and broke away from the more realistic palettes used by many of his contemporaries, influencing the Symbolist movement and later Fauvism.
