To find the mean = sum of scores/number of scores.
If the mean is close or equal to 46, then the distribution is essential normal and either measure of central tendency would be satisfactory.
If there is a great difference between mean and median, then the distribution is skewed. Since the mean acts as a fulcrum (Balance point), it is more influenced by deviant scores. Thus the median would be the best indicator of central tendency.
