Has anyone ever done a project on Macroeconomics in the Middle Earth? (based on Lord of the Rings?)

I presume you have read LOTR. You could do the whole middle earth or just a just an area such as the Shire or Gondor. Topics to include a) principal industries, b) principal factors of production (land, labor, or capital), c) imports and exports, d) standards of living, e) distribution of wealth, f) relative and absolute levels of technology, etc.
