The equation of a circle with center ( 0 , 0 ) and radius r is given by :
x² + y² = r²
In this case:
x = 2 , y = 2
x² + y² = r²
2² + 2² = r²
4 + 4 = r²
8 = r²
r = √ 8
r = √ 4 ∙ 2
r = √ 4 ∙ √ 2
r = 2 ∙ √ 2
r = 2 ∙ 1.41
r = 2.82
Draw a circles centered at the origin ( 0 , 0 ) with radius r = 2.82 and mark points x = 2 , y = 2
