Given the equations y=16 and y=3.

Determine the slope and y-intercept if any exist.

I have determined that the slope is 0 for both equations because it is a horizontal line, but I don't know what the y-intercepts are?

3 answers

recall that the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis.

The line y=16 clearly crosses the y-axis at y=16, because it is 16 for any value of x, in particular, x=0.
Thank you! I finally understand!

dontcha hate it when that happens?

Still, the aha! moment is worth the pain.
