U= the symbol actually is an upside down U. We didn't learn this symbol so I do not know what to do.

You can type the symbol ∩ as follows:
& c a p ;
but omit all spaces.
The other symbol can by typed similarly as:
& c u p ;
For example, 1 is in both R and P. Can you find the other one?
