"The Lady of Shalott" is a poem about a mysterious woman who lives in a tower and weaves a web of dreams. She is cursed to never look directly at the outside world, only through a mirror. One day, she sees the handsome knight, Sir Lancelot, and is tempted to look at him directly. As she does, the curse is fulfilled and she dies. Her body is found floating down the river, surrounded by flowers and she is mourned by the people of Camelot.
