Instructions:

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, until well combined.
6. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
7. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.

For the frosting:
1. In a large bowl, cream the butter until smooth.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
3. Stir in the pureed strawberries until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
4. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with additional sliced strawberries if desired.
