Fresh raspberries are 80% water. Dried raspberries are only 20% water. How many pounds of dried raspberries do you get from 36 lb of fresh berries?

20% of 36, of course
40% of 36.
Fresh ones have 20% non-water. So 20% of that plus 20% water.

All of these answers are wrong, the real answer is 9 because:
36*0.2(20%)=7.2, this is how much water the berries obtain.
Now you do 7.2 divided by 0.8 which equals 9 -you do this step to find out how much water and the rest of the stuff in the berries.
By the way i'm in 6th grade and hopefully this helps
