Well, you could base one on a true story that happened to my friend last month...she got into bed, in which a rattlesnake had crawled in the sheets. She almost died of the bite. Surely you could make a parable of this: The lady who didn't check her sheets before bedding down. The point of a parable is a story that teaches a moral lesson.
When in Texas, check your bed before crawling in it.
