a%b = √(a^2+b^2)
so, just plug in your numbers:
5%12 = (-5)%(-12) = 13
so, you have
(13)%(13) = 13√2
For real numbers a and b, define a%b=sqrt(a^2+b^2). What is the value of (5%12)%((-12)%(-5))?
The percentage is just a random sign the problem had a diamond instead, I just couldn't find any other symbol.Thank you!
