13 answers

Factors of 42:
1, 42, 2, 21, 3, 14, 6, 7

Factors of 12:
1, 12, 2, 6, 3, 4

What is the largest common factor?
3 is the largest common factor. Therefore, there will be 3 groups with 4 coaches and 14 players. You have to read the question carefully. When I first read the question, I thought I needed to have equal player to coach ratio in each group. I went crazy b/c I have player left over. When I read it several times, I realized I needed to have the same number of coaches per group and the same number of player per group. So the answer to the second part of the questions is 4 coaches and 14 players in each of the 3 groups.
The gcf is 6
Don't know help me
3 coches and 6 students in each group
6 Groups, 2 Coaches, and 7 Players

The GCF of 12 & 42 is 6.

What I did was divide 12 and 42 by 6.

12 divided by 6 is 2. So there are 2 coaches
42 divided by 6 is 7. So there are 7 players
6 coaches and players in each group
The gcf is not three
