Find three ordered pairs that satisfy the equation.

y = 2x − 1

(x, y) = (0)

(x, y) = ( 1)

(x, y) = ( 2)

just pick any value for x and evaluate y at that point.

x=0: y=2*0-1 = -1 So the point is (0,-1)
x=-5: y=2(-5)-1 = -11 So the point is (5,-11)
x=17: y=2*17-1 = 33So the point is (17,33)
and so on for any x value you want.

You can also pick y, but then you have to work backwards to get x.

y=7, 2x-1=7, so x=4 and the point is (4,7)
Thank you Steve it is appreciated.
Have a great day.
