Find the value of x which satisfies 5x - 3 < 7 where x is a natural number.

3 answers

add 3 both sides
5 x < 10
divide by 5 both sides
x < 2
1 will do.
watch out though
we divided both sides by a POSITIVE number
IF you divide or multiply both sides by a NEGATIVE number you reverse the direction f the arrow
4 < 7 four is to the left on number line
but
-4 > -7 negative 4 is to the right on number line
Thank you so much :)
