Find the value of the limit.

lim ã(x+4) - 2 divided by x
x->0

The 2 is outside of the square root.

The answer is supposed to be 1/4 but I keep getting 0/0 no matter how many times I redo the algebra.

1 answer

(√(x+4)-2)/x
using l'Hospital's Rule, that gives

(1/(2√(x+4)))/(1) = (1/(2*2))/2 = 1/4
