Find the slope of a line that passes through (-2,-3) and (1,1).

1 answer

slope = (change in the y values)/(change in the x values)
make sure you take the difference "in the same direction"

slope = (1 - (-3))/(1 - (-2)) = ..
or
slope = (-3-1)/(-2-1) = ...
you should get the same result
