is it only 1 b/c if u substitute 1 into w, it'll equal to 1
w^4+w^3-w=1
w^4+w^3-w-1=0
(w-1)(w^3+2w^2+2w+1)=0
(w-1)(w+1)(w^2+w+1)=0
so real solutions are 1 and -1
complex solutions are 1 -1 j j^2 with j=exp(2Pi/3)
w^4+w^3-w-1=0
(w-1)(w^3+2w^2+2w+1)=0
(w-1)(w+1)(w^2+w+1)=0
so real solutions are 1 and -1
complex solutions are 1 -1 j j^2 with j=exp(2Pi/3)
