Perimeter is easy. Just add up the lengths of the sides.
Area is harder. Unless you give some more information, it's not possible to figure it.
Play with some popsicle sticks. Given any four-sided figure, you can see that it's possible to deform the shape in various ways, changing the area.
If you can say that two sides are perpendicular or something, then we can make more headway.
