find the median of 2,2,26,14,49,42,39. If necessary, round to one decimal place.

A) 14
B)25.4
C)39
D)26

I have done the math for this calculation by adding the numbers and then divided by 7 and got 24.85714286 by rounding I would have 24.9. Which isn't an option. So what do I need to do? Did I do it correctly?

In math, knowing the definition of the terms is key to solving the problem.

What you have attempted to find is the mean (or average), not the median.

Here the key term is "median", defined as follows:
"To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order and find the middle number. Example: find the Median of {13, 23, 11, 16, 15, 10, 26}. The middle number is 15, so the median is 15. (If there are two middle numbers, you average them.)"

Ok thank you
So 2,2,14,26,39,42,49 that means 26 is the median
Exactly, well done! :)
