Find the dimension of young modules

1 answer

delta L/L is length / length, no units
so
delta L/L = F/A / E
so E has units F/A = Newtons / meter^2 or "Pascals"

of course using Newton's second law Newtons = mass* meters/s^2
so (kg meters/s^2) /meters^2
so you could say
kg /(meters seconds^2) but I doubt they want you to go that far :)
